OK You pratically need only 2 Anti-Spyware programs. They are avast! and Spybot Search and Destory.

Why do you need avast! ?

Well... avast! can spot out Virus's and Trojans in programs while you are downloading and I don't think any other anti-spyware can do that! Avast also creates VRDB - Virus Recovery Database - When a file is infected VRDB can get the virus out of the file, and return to its orginal state.
