Nat, I really love the one of your neice. She has a cute haircut. (:
You definitely captured her innocence in this sketch with the big eyes and pouty lips. The Michael Jordan one looks neat. The dash of color on his bruise and cut really brings my eye to that part of the sketch, even though the color is barely noticeable.

lol. the colour is from discolouration.
 the book is like over 10 years old now. i was looking for some old inspiration. and my niece was adorable. she's a beautiful teen now. and is model material. maybe a little too skinny though, but definitely gorgeous.

Michael Jordan looks really neat, I too myself love to draw. I was in art class from middle school until I gratuated. I could never draw people though, I was never good at it. So instead I like to draw/paint animals etc. They are both really great drawings. You could get a sheet protector to keep them from fading. Light really makes drawings fade fast keep them in a dark area. I keep my on my closet shelf.

Yeah they are in a closet but I can't use a sheet protector as they are in a big art book. I usually use a book with black pages, art folio as such.
But I can only draw people sometimes. Proportions are what I struggle with i think.
