Am I a loser or are my friends just jerks?

There's obviously something wrong with them. I say drop them and mingle with the others.
My friends and I jump each other once in awhile, but it goes two ways and it never gets serious.

When you stuck up for yourself and told them that you'd fight back, that told them that you wouldn't wanna be pushed around anymore, and that dropped the novelty issue with them.
Thus they decided to stop hanging around you and go find some other punchbag.
They were never your real friends to begin with, I believe.
Somehow or rather, I'm inclined to think that whenever you're not around, they gossip and talk bad about you, then act all friendly-like with you around.

Drop them. You can do much better with other people.

I had a group of "friends" that I sat with so I didn't feel like a loser being the only person at lunch sitting by themselves, but the people didn't really like me, and I didn't really like them.

Mee too! I didn't want to sit by myself at lunchtime, so I had these "friends" I sat with... but it was always uncomfortable sitting with them... and then I realized who were my "true" friends, because you feel more open with them, and you're not afraid to mess up in front of them.

Maybe you are hanging out with people that "think" you are a loser, because "they" are jerks.

In someones eyes, you will always be a loser.

But in many peoples eyes, you will be an amazing friend. and those are the people that you should find, and surround yourself with

But I can't say anything, because I know I think of people as losers too. Its not a perfect world.

it is true. but you are supposed to ignore the people that think you are a "loser" or (insert other bad word here) and move your life forward with who counts.

Your friends are jerks. Don't listen to them. I think you need to stand up to them. Your so called "friends" probably took something in the wrong way. Try talking to them again, and if they keep it up, don't be afraid to tell someone. Not being invited to 'trick or treat' with them might have been a good thing, because they might've gotten in trouble. If I were you, I would stand my ground and fight back. If they continue to beat you up, that's something you should talk to a parent or teacher about. If they just call you names and be kids like that, there's nothing bad in defending yourself.
