Stroke.

My grandmother had a stroke today, she was the one that raised me and the one I dear the most of all. She's at the hospital right now, with her the left side of her body paralyzed...she has also been crying....which has made me very depressed lately, I even skipped school to go see her at the hospital. They said that she'll do fine.. but as of right now, I don't know what to do to help her out.. I just feel so sorry for her.

It makes me sad too that she's crying. I think the best thing you can do for her is to show her that you're brave. Stay by her, make her feel loved. And reassure her that you grew up to be strong and healthy because of her

I'm sorry to hear about your Grandmother

I have a small glimmer of hope to offer you, although I do not know your Grandmothers medical history very well so I don't know if this will really help you at all. My Great Grandfather had a stroke when I was young (5 or so) and he was able to eventually regain the use of his legs after about 6 months of physical therapy. He also was able to regain the use of his legs after his second stroke when I was 8. His first symptoms of the condition that he had started when I was 4 but he was able to live many more years by following what the doctors ordered (I was 15 when he passed away and he was able to walk until only about 2 years before he passed away). What I'm trying to say is that even though she may be paralyzed now, depending on her medical history she may walk again and eventually be back to her old self for quite some time.
