What would you suggest...
Okay, my nephews best friend came down with a type of cancer a little over half a year ago.
Last night she died in the hospital, and the school told them about it.
How do you suggest we help him through this? He has been crying ever since he got home today from school, and I have no clue on how to help him..

Yeah I tried to take him to the park, because he suggested to. But he broke down half way down the street..

Not really the best idea, more of a bandaid solution. I know at least for me, when I'm gaming, thoughts swirl and fester in my head, not making it any better.

Just make sure he knows there are people around who care for him, lots of love. Maybe taking him out to theme park or some other fun activity with friends.

Gather up a whole BUNCH of people and share their stories about this type of thing so he knows he isnt alone. Cook him his favorite meal. Get him to start a charity or something to help other cancer patients and stuff like that, it may not keep its mind off of it, but at least he'll be doing something he feels he should be, i think.

Thank you all! He seems to be handling it a bit better right now. Me and him had a talk about it, and we wrote a little note to Bianca's family on that website. I think that helped him a lot, because I let him do it himself.

Yes it is a bandade situation but right after something tragic happens its good to let it out, but you need to feel comfortable. Its hard to put what I want to say in words but its better to mask a situation with "bandades" for the first day but let it all out the day after. :/
