i think dz should have a new forum...
maybe a sub-section in the spam.

but i know that all the time i want to talk about my problems somewhere, and the spam section feels like a weird place to do so.

i think if we had a forum like that...it would get used so much.

An advice forum might be a good idea...

But who would run it hon?

Who would be offering the advice?

It might just turn out to be a place where people flame others for stuff they wouldn't want to be flamed over.

How many times have you seen someone post about their crappy day and someone else say something to the effect of get over it whiner.

I'm all for it, but there would need to be rules. It would need to be a safe environment geared towards allowing members to share their problems without fear, shame or ridicule by any member. (And no, I'm not saying this would happen, just that it could)

I like that it would be in the Spam section as this would definitely cut down on those trying to get post counts for levels and such. So the posts would hopefully be relative and on topic.

Over all, I think it's a good idea...just needs a few supporting suggestions on the thread so that members feel secure enough to put themselves out there and share.

Yeah, I was thinking of making a blog entry that guests could comment on, so people can sign out and ask for advice.
But I wasn't sure if I should though, because who's going to think I give good advice? Well, I think I do. And Godsend at least said I do... xD

it would fit in awkwardly as a subsection in this site...

i mean,i think that even the normal spam section would be a weird place to ask for 85% of normally asked advise anyways...

Seriously, I think if enough folks want it...I know there are enough folks here that offer good, sound advice on enough topics that the folder wouldn't suffer for answerers.

It's up to the mods though.

How about calling it Love and Relationships? You could seek advice there but also discuss topics where you aren't necessarily seeking advice. lol.

Problems can be anything, not just love or relationships, so, how about just The Advice Colomn? xD
I am all up for this idea, it would be really good, you get to know the members better and if the rules are followed, people will feel better after talking about their problems.

It's not up to the mods AliaSky, it's up to CheeSie, the mods can't create new sub-forums.
I personally think it's an okay idea, and would be worth impenting into either spam/all around
