graphics team ideas

i have posted this kinda-ish before, but not as a thread, just as a extra though.
i made a suggestion about making a graphics team board, but that got lost xD
so i'll add that in too.

1. the graphics team does nothing.
sad, but true.
when i applied im like "yay! graphics team, so awesome!"
but now im like "yay...blue userbar?"
i mean, really...

we need something.
i mean, matt's the "graphics team leader" and all he does is make sotm threads
(not saying that isn't good) but can't we help xD
all we do is induct more people into this pointless usergroup xD

i'm not saying we should get rid of the gfx team
we need it. we just need something to do xD

2. we need a board.
i desperately want to talk to the other gfx team about stuff.
(i know they feel the same way)
swap tutorials, give better tips, have them better rated, etc.
just give us a sub-forum? <3

3. i, personally, think that the gfx team applications should only be availible to be viewed by the gfx team, or staff. it would help on that dumb voting problem (although i hear it was fixed?)
people keep complaining "i wanna vote!" well, if they don't see the thread, they can't complain xD

that is all.

1. I once said that the GFX Team was pretty much useless, some people were so angry at me. xD Do you'll do requests? There are always new ones but I always see the same old few doing it. There are things to do, you'll just don't do them.

2. A board for just you people? Well, this would be quite pointless, I feel. You have the General GFX Talking thing, no one uses that, except that one board by Nat, so, just use that. Tips can easily be sahred amongst everyone. And, the rating thing is just dumb - I only know of one person in the GFX Team, Nat, who actually really looks at the siggy and talks lengthily about its pro's and con's, your strengths and weaknesses. Most of them just go 'Not too good, work on your blahblah' give a rate and leave.

3. I think this would be really unfair. We don't get to work, but we should be allowed to at least comment, right? People have mainly stopped complaining, only the odd jealous person who isn't mod/GFX team person.

So... yeah, just what I think. xD

1. anyone can take requests. it doesn't make us special or anything xD
there are plenty of things we can do/help with that we don't have...

2. you're wrong there. some tutorials i may not necessarily want everyone else to see, considering the whole forum would be filled with the same signature xD
natalie goes to a site where she is a intern, and she gets taught and helped out. and i think it would be a good idea for here, except the only people that could do it would be the gfx team.
i'm not saying we won't help the other people! no...i'd still help out like i do already, just that the more advanced stuff can be put in our own section, were we don't have to worry about beginners.

why wouldnt u want to give ur tuts and tip to other people to help other people get in the gfx team?

I was thinking about opening a GFX school, but it would be a lot of work and Andreas doesn't really want the site overrun with GFX. I think the GFX team serves the purpose to help fill requests and do whatever work Andreas needs done for the site.

really? i was never told of a purpose.
the only thing ive seen cheesie needed were artists, not gfx
but still...a job or duty would rock :]

I agree with all of them.. Except 3 =D

The first is true, because anyone can do requests so it doesn't give us a job at all. I think there just should be SOME point to being on the GFX Team (although I do like the userbar )

but i wish it was more...
plus we'd have more people wanting to be on the team if we actually did stuff xD
