Description: BitTorrents (torrents for short) is a peer-2-peer kind of program it allows people to transfer and receive data. There is a central server "Tracker" that regulates the activities of the peers.

Why Should I Use Torrents: Well torrents are awesome no really torrents are safer than other peer-2-peer programs such as Bearshare, Limewire, etc and torrents they have a wide array of selection in what u can download so for a little list you can download Movies(New releases in theaters and New DVD releases), Games(Yeah thats right GAMES such as games for the Xbox360, PS3, Wii or PC games Note- The Wii,Ps3,Xbox360 games can be played on the system through methods dont ask go to another site to help u its complicated and takes a while to burn), Music(New Cds that aren't even released yet), Software(like antispyware, antivirus, other), there is more so etc

How To Use Torrents: Ok that information is great now how do I use torrents first off u need to download a torrent client for me i use Azureus go here http://azureus.sourceforge.net/download.php
this is my favorite cause this uses java and is the sexiest in my opinion since u get to update it and there are more options than ur usual Torrent Client another torrent client that is used a lot is the Bitcomet it does not use Java so it takes less computer performance but it simpler compared to Azureus

Ok now since u have a client now u have to use torrents to use torrents u have to first download the torrent file so for example

Ok now that you pressed to open with ur client u now save it so some random place i do it at my desktop but u wherever u want

Now just wait for 100% completion unless u just want one file if so for example in azureus u press enter on the torrent in the azureus menu then u go to files then right click on the file u want to be finished first u go right click on it and then Set Priority to high then that will make that file finish first

What Does It Mean to...: Wat does it mean to seed well seeding means u are uploading and when u r leeching that means u are downloading why do i have to register to use that torrent site well some sites require their peers to register first so that they may download torrents why are they doing that well some sites u have a ratio of how much u seed they do not want u to be a pure leecher now do they so u have to seed if u don't some sites have consequences *cough *cough *IP Baning. Wat does it mean when it says seeds and peers wat is down speed wat is up speed? Well Seeds are the people u are downloading off of and Peers are other leechers that are downloading the torrent Down Speed is the speed u are downloading at and Up speed is the speed u are uploading at.

Tips On Torrents: Now heres some helpful reminders Crap look at that there are so many leechers but so little seeds my advice wait a little then download the more leechers u have the harder it is to download because u are all trying to get that file the more seeds there are the better because there are more sources to download from oh and if ur evil please dont be u will make ur torrent faster by doing this evil thing oh me thats just an example but seriously u don't have too but seed please

Tips on The Program Files and Types: okay now u downloaded the file Y wont it open WTF im mad sike naw but file types if a file is .rar u need a program named winRar to extract it u can get it here http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

okay now movies are good okay
for some software wat happened y does it not work well if the extensions are .ISO, .cue, etc u get a program called Daemon Tools http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/download.php
if u dont want that u can get PowerIso via torrents now thats it for this section next

How To Use Files after U Download It:
okay now u have the files thats great how do i use it? Okay for music i recomend the file type of mp3 its the easiest and u can incorporate it easily to ur Ipod or Mp3 Player if not u can find a converter to mp3 via torrents and for movies how to get it to VCD's or DVD's well go get the program that lets u burn DVD's via torrents such as Roxio and Other various programs if u need a convertor to DVD format get the WinAvi.

Great guide, few things to include tho please

Give them the community codec project http://www.cccp-project.net/

It has every codec you'll basically ever need in one big bundle. This thing allows windows media player to .mkv and more.

Also include Demonoid.com (yes its closed at the moment, but I've read several sites saying it is only temporary until they change servers as the Canadian music business went after them.

I love the walk through tho. Maybe a part on seeders/leechers? I didnt see it when I read.

Yea, I love the CCP it has been with me for 3 years and I havent found a single extension it wont run. If not in WMP then in VLC player (suppose you could link that too since alot of subtittled/multi language movies require it)

Ahh, I had Z player before I had VideoLan, both work out fine.

Just with Video I only need it and WMP with my codecs so I didn't need the previous 4 players I had.

perhaps u have a trick or two under ur sleeve about bypassing ISP throttling of torrents?
god, i hate those monopolized ISP so yeah, using another ISP is totally out of the question for me
