[Detailed Guide - Windows] To Hiding Files If You Have Your Own Account On Windows

Preparation
All you need is to log onto the account with the file you want to hide. Yes, I know there are other guides on this, but they are different. This hides the files from all other accounts except when you are on yours; even Admins!!

What To Do

Usually, you would want to hide your Documents folder, but just pick out what you want to hide from the others. Then, right click on it.



Click on the "Sharing" tab.



It should look like this...



Check the box "Make This Folder Private".

Conclusion

Yes, I know this is a very simple guide. NOTES/EXTRA: When you hide your "Documents", other accounts cannot access any of your private stuff. Usually, there will be a folder for each account in this format:

Windows Account Name's Documents

But now, there will be nothing there! Enjoy your privacy! And, unlike Hiding your folder, you only need to do this once and don't have to go to all that trouble just to restore it. No restorations, done only ONCE!

Lol, I had several people snooping around in my files, but I didn't know until I caught them messing around with my VBC++ (never checked edit date) ...Then, I did this...0 access to my files *ha*

Woops...it was Visual Basic 2008 files lol

I think this is the best way to hide files...because they won't find it as easily unless you share accounts.
