What is the BEST IPOD for me?

My current mp3 player can't go above 114 songs. It's crappy.

I'm looking to get an IPOD, that can hold thousands of songs.

My only problem is that I don't buy music.

I know, that's bad, arrest me. ;D

So I need an IPOD that takes stray mp3's.

Don't they all just take ITUNES music?

I believe my pricerange is infinate.

This will be my christmas present, and mom says I should just tell her which one I want...she never said price.

no, they take MP3 files. The iTunes music store is just where you buy the MP3 files. itunes isn't a file expention just a name of the store.

I download music too for free and then save them on the computer and transfer them to my ipod. There is no problem in that. Problems come when you want to transfer from your ipod to your computer.

The best ipod is the ipod nano I think.

If music storage/play is what you are looking for, you should def. get a nano.
As for transferring from iPod to PC, I use TransPod, and it works like a gem. If you would like to use it at any time,just PM me and I'll give you a link.
You can still rip CDs to your computer, and iTunes will put them on your iPod.

Transferring from your ipod to your computer is simple. There are programs. And if you cant get the program to work, Ill show you how to do it.

iPods do play Mp3's. iTunes is simply the software you use to transfer Mp3's from your computer to your iPod. ALL iPods require software to make these transfers.

That's the reason why I despise iPods, lol. I prefer dragging and dropping. But anyways...

Keep in mind that 4 gigs will hold approximately 1000 songs. You can get a Nano, but I think the most it can hold is 8gb -- 2000 songs. Dunno why you'd even want that many but ehh, whatever floats your boat. Lol. If you need even more space, then you have to get a hard-drive Mp3 player / iPod.

Do you plan on using your iPod for anything other than music? iPod Nanos don't come with an FM tuner or a voice recorder, if that's important to you. Just something to think about.

if you live in canada, I will suggest not getting an ipod
because after you recharge them x number of times, the battery will wear out and you'll have to take it to an apple store, and there are like none here

I would suggest getting a creative mp3 player
if your player ever gets worn out or really outdated but still works, they'll send you a new one
and they have a long warrenty, its pretty sweet, they dont bother with the fixing, they just bam, and you get a new one

apple will never do that... unless you have connections

but if you're set on an iPod, I would suggest the new nano, its fresh, and still holds 2000 songs
