iPhones are sorta big for a phone, if you drop them they're screwed, they get crap all over the screen, and it's overall not a GREAT but nice phone.

iphones are big because of the amount of shit crammed into, pretty much like any other smart phone. Your also talking bullshit when you say if you drop them theyre screwed... Do you own an iphone? probably not so how would you know anyway? ive dropped mine so much and fair enough it has a few dints in the back but not one scratch on the screen and its in perfect working order. i dont have a problem at all with "getting crap all over the screen" fair enough if youve got dirty hands but its gonna be like that with any phone, sure sometimes you can get fingerprints on but a fingerprint isnt exactly the end of the world? it takes a second to wipe off :S. Seems like your just bashing the iphone because you cant afford one...

then again $200 and you can unlock them for pay and go? cheaper than most phones for what it does...

i'd risk saying they're the most durable phone out there.
i've dropped mine many many times, and no scratch.

yep. i've purposely dropped mine on concrete to see the effect, nothing, no dents, no scratches, all that without a case. and if you get a dirty screen, use the handy little cloth material they gave you to wipe it off, good as new. now you guys who don't have an iphone, shouldn't even be talking about it unless you've used it first hand, not by just going to the at&t store to play with it.

it's been the most durable phone I've had to date.

when I went to buy a phone I wasn't going to get it, but if you look at the options you have out there it wasn't that much more and I know I'm going to be happy with it for a lot longer.

The only thing pricewise is that in purchasing the $200 or $300 subsidized iPhone 3G, you are bound to a 2 year contract that ends up making you pay for what the phone is really worth. To buy the iPhone 3G with no strings attached add on a $400 premium.

Personally, I bought the original iPhone on ebay and use it with T-Mobile and I'm completely content; Great phone and great service.

Oh and the ONLY non-cosmetic differences between the old iPhone and the iPhone 3G is obviously 3G connectivity and GPS. Everything else is exactly the same. If you are thinking of buying an iPhone, I recommend waiting for the next iPhone or buying the original.

Honestly I wasn't to impressed with this at first when it was released. But I just have seen my sisters not to long ago, and i was just messing around with it, and its making me get one now, because it is actually a really neat phone!
