The Wii Fit

So has anyone ever tried Wii Fit? I've been wanting this ever since it came out but I didn't own a Nintendo Wii system until just a few days ago. Is it worth the money and if you honestly try, do you lose weight as well? I've heard many good reviews on the game itself and I think I am buying it tomorrow! Do you own it and think it is successful??

From what i've read / heard about it..

It tells little kids that they're obese, makes them cry, and allows for really low-intensity exercise

I like the Wii and everything, but don't count on this to get fit

It always seemed kind of like a joke to me as far as exercise.

But this is coming from a girl who doesn't play videogames and doesn't know much about the wii fit. So... good luck with it xD

Haha, the concept of it all is good though. A game to get fit. Well all I am really looking for is toning my body. Tighter Just because they do yoga in this makes me want to get it. I've been doing yoga all my life and having it as a game is pretty neat. Shows your progress as well. So I think it may be worth my money. Money I've made online, har har!

If you're SERIOUS about getting into better shape and what not.. i think you would be better off ditching the game and getting a membership at a local gym or somethin'...

or if being a fitness guru isn't really your thing, <3 the wii and how you can tinker around with it

Honestly, it really doesnt help you lose weight at ALL. I have it and waited 5 hours in a Gamestp for it

But it is kinda cool. VERY different from most games and it does alert you of your weight. I do hate this game because everytime i step on it to measure my weight... it tells me im Overweight ... which isnt that great for your self esteem when a videogame calls you fat...
But phuck Self esteem. I would say Yoga is the best part! Even though some of the stretches look funny and painful they really do help me relax. From weight thought, i really havent lost or gained anything because now, i weigh myself daily and if im temptewd to eat like a late snack or something fattning, ill be like, no i cant! I goot be fit, Wiifit that is


But i would rate this game 7.5/10

it's sold out everywhere we tried to buy it. my parents wants to buy it. they play the wii way more than me xD.

exactly that is the point! it has a good concept and it is so different from other console games! if i had a wii i would definatly buy it!

Thanks Dennis. Yeah, the thought of a game calling you overweight does mess with your self-esteem, but it also strives you to lose some weight, right? Remember, it may not be fat that is in you, but muscles. Muscles weigh more than fat. Sooo, yeah. Haha.

And surprisingly, there are a few Wii Fit around here. I've seen at 3 at EB games and Future Shop every time I stop by. Even Blockbuster has some. Haha. I'm excited.... if it is an extreme let down, I can always sell it

I've owned the wii fit for about 2months now. If you really try, and use it everyday, you'll see SOME improvement. It's not a bad investment. Not expect to lose like 20kg from it though
