I got one of the small 8gb Zen V plus, I needed a small one to throw around my neck when I go for a run. I'm tall and it's easier than headphone extenders....
And the Ipod was like double the price and I'd never use the extra features, so yeah.

I've had a cheap Siren mp3 player for ages-works fine for me, I only use it for music. Just bought a MotoRokr phone and it has just as much memory capacity so I don't really use my Siren anymore. Holds a 2 gig card right out of the box, but I've heard that as much as 8 gig can work in them....
