Wifi SD Cards?

I've been rather sick of my cell phone providers internet service for a while now. I'm paying something like $25 a month for the privilege of going over my 2mb limit every time I actually use it in a month, thus landing myself an additional $10-20 in data use charges. This is really quite ridiculous, and I've noticed that Cogeco, my ISP, is offering wireless broadband hotspots in their coverage area now.

The question of relevence comes because my searching the wider net fails to turn up anything recent. I'm looking for an SD Wifi card, but there seems to be either old stuff, or announcements about potential new stuff that isn't available yet, with a wide gap between.

Has anyone used an SD wifi card? Can anyone reccomend a good one? The eye-fi looks interesting, but only if it can be used in my Treo and its networking capabilities extend to general connectivity. Love to hear something on this... there seems to be a lot of knowledge floating around here.

A Wifi SD card is a network card that plugs into an SD slot. It would mean, for example, that I could connect on my Treo to internet hotspots (like those provided by my ISP in its whole coverage area) instead of paying for cellular internet.

i doubt that will fit, most phones use micro sd or mini sd...
